Si’Tarc is managed by Office Bearers from a Governing Council constituted of elected members of Si’Tarc. The following sub-committees function in finalizing the activities of Si’Tarc. Technical and Testing Procedures sub-committee, Personnel sub-committee, Purchase sub-committee, Building and Infrastructural sub-committee and Finance sub-committee.

Small Industries Testing and Research Centre (Si'Tarc) is a non-for-profit registered society, for serving engineering industry and its membership is from all over India.

It is promoted by Southern India Engineering Manufactures Association (SIEMA) and Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA)

We are having around 275 members predominantly into the manufacturing of Motors and Pumps in Micro, Small, Medium and Large industries. Our members hold the maximum number of BIS licenses and we work closely with BIS to formulate standards for Motors and Pump sets. 

Si’Tarc is also playing major roles in various government agencies viz., BIS, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, etc., for the benefit of its members. 

Si’Tarc is beneficiary of Coimbatore Industrial Infrastructure Association (COINDIA) Project, upgraded new testing facilities. Building and Equipments worth of Rs.5.45 Crores installed in testing, machining and training areas. To mention a few of new test facilities, High accuracy automated pump testing, High end Spectrometer for chemical analysis of ferrous and non ferrous metals, Dust Spray Chamber for IP5 tests, 60 Hz electrical power source to test motors up to 100kVA, Salt Spray Chamber for corrosion tests, Laser measuring systems for calibration of CNC, CMM and ULM, A VMC KODI 40 for machining, Systems for hardware training programme etc.

Si’Tarc commits to render service to the Small Scale Industries in meeting their requirements with quality, accuracy, reliability and faster delivery.
