Water is the precious natural resource for the very existence of life on the planet. Unfortunately about 90% of the ground water is hard rendering it unsuitable for Industrial, Agricultural and domestic purposes. Here in India, most of the ground water has been found to have TDS level over and above 300 TDS. In some of the areas such as Ganganagar in Rajasthan, water has over 35000 TDS.
Hardwater plays havoc in Industries, similar to that of in Agriculture and House hold.Millions on rupees are spent every month to combat the menace of scaling caused due to hardness in water. It not only dents the finance of industries but also leads to imporatnat man hour losses. In some cases, it has been found that no matter what kind of traditional descaling methods are adopted, the stubborn scales are impossible to move.
India has a vast population dependent on Agriculture and its allied industries. Hardwater plays a havoc in agriculture. Water fails to seep inside land, standing crop wears a burnt look, productivity takes a beating, soil becomes rock solid, white salty patches are seen all over the field.
Similar is the situation for house holds. No matter what quality of bath fittings one is using, all gets corroded and bears an antique look within six months of installation.Water is so hard that even after using the best quality of soap and detergents, clothes look pale, skin feels dry, no lather is formed.
